Where are you?
At a big old wooden desk in a room with high ceilings and a view over the river.

What are you working on today?
Too many things. Communicating to hundreds of people about an arts event in Federations Square. Talking to two new artists about contracts, talking to government about art in public places, talking to colleagues about the world and our world. Sorting our my inbox to not reflect the shapes and feelings inside my head.

Have you travelled this year?
Yep – flitting trips to Tas. A road trip to the sea. A birthday dash to Perth. A birthday dash to Darwin. Two trips to regional Qld. Research trip to Tas forthcoming. (And this is a quiet year)

Are you committed to Melbourne?
With all my heart, I want to be in this town.

What do you miss when you leave Melbourne?
The feeling I have when I walk through the alleys in the city and see something I’ve never noticed before.

What Melbourne work/art have you loved and has been important to you?
Every contemporary dance event this town can harbour.

What piece of work have you been involved in that has meant the most to
you?

I can’t nominate just one, but I was proud of 180 Secs for its mix n affect for the arts community.

My mentor Jerril Rechter. My Next Wave family. My Manager, Jeremy Gaden. My family.
